The interest in the PCFA.ORG system and what it can do for
the community is growing every day. That's great, because PCFA.ORG
was established with primary goals of providing an educational
tool and a way to maximize the full potential of our community (Nevada
County, Arkansas). While PCFA.ORG is a "free net,"
"free" does not mean "no limitations."
To facilitate our goals, PCFA.ORG users may prepare documents designed for the World Wide Web
and place those documents in their public_html directory on the PCFA.ORG server.
Many HTML editing tools such as Netscape
Composer may be used to create the pages and upload them to the PCFA.ORG server.
Pages may be reached by pointing web browsers to
http://www.pcfa.org/~username where username
is the user's account name. Notice the tilde (~) just before
the username.
Techincal support and limits of support for WWW pages is strictly at the
discretion of the PCFA.ORG administrators.
The pages may be of most any content which is in the good taste of community standards. The
pages may include information about a business or industry in our community.
PCFA serves a few domains for world wide web home pages, but these pre-dated the
nevada.ar.us and
prescott.ar.us domain
registrations.
In any case, PCFA.ORG will abide by the judgement of our ISP -- if a web site is requiring
bandwidth in amounts that jeopardizes the viability of the point of presence in Prescott,
the user may be required to move pages to another server with higher bandwidth (of course,
we'll provide a redirect page and automatic redirect to those pages).
