PCFA.org has changed mail servers.
Our old server's mail system dated back to the style used in the mid-1990s, so it's past
time for a change to help stop SPAM and server abuse and purge accounts that are no longer used.

Get Your E-Mail From the Server NOW!

Existing e-mail (new incoming, saved or sent messages) was NOT moved.
You can retrieve it via POP for a few days using the old server name of
pcfa.org and your USERNAME and PASSWORD (your existing configuration will work fine).
If you have mesages you've saved using the Pine program, login to retrieve your messges
or move them to the INBOX from which you can then POP them.
ALL MESSAGES WILL BE DELETED FROM THE SERVER AT THE END OF APRIL 2007.
As of about 11:30am on Friday, April 7, 2007, the PCFA.ORG server no longer accepted
delivery of any e-mail. All messages since that time have been delivered to the new server.
See the above notes to retrieve your old mail. Then make the changes outlined below.
Your e-mail address does NOT change. It's still USERNAME@pcfa.org.
The "Incoming Mail Server (POP3 or IMAP)" is now:
mail.pcfa.org
NOT merely pcfa.org.
Your mailbox Username has changed! It is now of the form:
USERNAME.pcfa.org
NOT merely USERNAME. NOTE: It's username DOT pcfa DOT org

If you make these changes and get a prompt requesting the correct password, be sure the
username in the prompt is USERNAME.pcfa.org with two dots. If it is,
telephone IOCC.com at 870-246-6923 and ask them to reset your PCFA.ORG password and
tell them the password you want. They can make the change quickly. You may also call
me on my cell phone (see below).
The account is still free and subject to PCFA.org

as well as IOCC.com's
terms and conditions.
The new server has a mailbox limit (quota) of 20MB. If you let the
mailbox get to quota and stay there, the mailbox will be deleted without
notice. Also, any e-mail message older than 90 days will be deleted.
The new server handles POP3 or IMAP. It does NOT have shell access,
so 'pine' will no longer be available.

Password: [your password]
Note: username DOT pcfa DOT org.

If you have POSTINI SPAM and virus filtering for your e-mail, it has automatically moved to the new server.
If you do NOT have POSTINI filtering for your e-mail, you are encouraged to contact
IOCC.com and subscribe to it for about $15.96 per year.
If you no longer want or need a PCFA.org e-mail address,
or if you want your PCFA.org e-mail delivered to another mailbox,
please send a note to dstewart @ pcfa.org with what you would like done.
